Munjya (2024) is a Hindi-language horror-comedy film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films. Released theatrically on June 7, 2024, the film became a sleeper hit, grossing ₹132.13 crore worldwide against a production budget of ₹30 crore. It is the third installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, following Stree and Bhediya .

📜 Plot Overview
Munjya is inspired by a Konkan folklore about a mischievous spirit named Munjya, who haunts peepal trees or wells. The spirit arises when a man dies unmarried between his thread ceremony and marriage ritual, often causing disturbances to fulfill his unfulfilled desires. In the film, Bittu (Abhay Verma) unintentionally releases Munjya's spirit, leading to a series of chaotic and humorous events as he tries to resolve the situation .
🎶 Music
The film's music was composed by Sachin–Jigar, with Justin Varghese scoring the background music. The song "Hai Jamalo" was co-composed by Skeletron, and lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya .

After its theatrical run, Munjya premiered on television on Star Gold on August 24, 2024, and became available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on August 25, 2024 .
