I live in Satya Nagar, Bhubaneswar. There are six members in our family. They are: my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my elder brother and myself. We live in a house which was built by my grandfather a few years ago. As my grandparents are old, my parents see to all the household affairs. So we consider my father as the head of the family. He works in the Odisha Secretariat as a senior assistant. My mother is a teacher. She works in a local primary school.
My parents are hardworking. As both my father and my mother are govemment servants, they eam a lot of money. In addition to her duty in the school, my mother has to do a lot of household work. She cooks our food and keeps the house clean. She remains busy with the household work. My father also joins my mother when there is more work load. Both of them look after my grandparents well. They also take every care of my brother and myself. They are always mindful to our needs. They are very careful about our health and education. Both of them love us very much. If any of us is ill tears roll down from my mother's cheeks. She prays God for our prosperity and long life..
My parents give us good advice. They teach us good manners. They maintain discipline in the family. All of us sit together during the moming and evening prayer. We also eat together. My grandmother often tells us stories. Everyday my grandfather reads out some pages from the holy books. There is true love and affection among us. It is said that family is the first school of citizenship. We hope to be ideal citizens in the future with the advice and teachings of our parents and grandparents.
Sometimes I help my parents in their work. I go shopping and help my mother in the household work.
